What We Believe
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, authoritative, and literal Word of God.
We believe that there is one God who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ. We believe that Jesus Christ was born from a virgin birth, and that He walked this earth manifested as both fully God and fully man. We believe that Jesus Christ performed miracles as the Son of God. We believe that Jesus Christ suffered and died a physical death on a cross, and that He was resurrected from that physical death after three days. We also believe that because of this physical resurrection, death was defeated forever; therefore, all of mankind received salvation from sin. (John 1:1; Matthew 1:18,25; Hebrews 4:15; Hebrews 9:15-22; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Acts 1:9-11; Hebrews 9:27-28)
We believe that God created all human beings in His image. We further believe that God has a plan for each human being from the beginning of creation. Therefore, we believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end, and that we must honor the physical and spiritual needs of all people. Following Christ’s example, we believe that every person should be treated with love, dignity, and respect. (Psalm 139:13; Isaiah 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; Matthew 22:37-39; Romans 12:20-21; Galatians 6:10)
We believe that God established marriage as a lifelong, exclusive, and sacred covenant between one man and one woman. We believe that marriage, as a covenant relationship only between one man and one woman, has been the traditional and Biblical definition of marriage for all of human history. We further believe that the marriage relationship between one man and one woman is God’s perfect design, from which children are to be shepherded toward their divine purpose and a relationship with Jesus Christ. (Genesis 2:24-25; Exodus 20:14, 17, 22:19; Leviticus 18:22-23, 20:13, 15-16; Matthew 19:4-6, 9; Romans 1:18-31; I Corinthians 6:9-10, 15-20; I Timothy 1:8-11; Jude 7)
We believe that God designed a binary human race which is male and female. (Genesis 1:27; Deuteronomy 22:5)
We believe that it is through the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, and God’s divine grace that the Christian is able to live a Godly life. We further believe that one’s Christian walk is an ongoing process of being transformed by God’s Word and His Spirit in order to complete the development of Christ’s character in us. (Romans 8:29; 2 Corinthians 3:18, 6:14-18; 1 Thessalonians 4:3, 5:23; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3; Titus 2:12; Hebrews 2:11)
We believe that acceptance of Jesus Christ and one’s corresponding renewal by the Holy Spirit is the only path to salvation for men and women. (John 3:16; John 5:24; Titus 3:3-7)
